The Challenge

The utilization of banking APIs in the Nordics was still in a very early stage, presenting a significant untapped potential for banks, fintechs, and eCommerce companies. Enable Banking recognized the need to drive innovation and support the development of a robust Open Finance ecosystem. The challenge lay in accelerating this development and fostering innovation within the Open Finance landscape.

The Solution

Enable Banking discovered Fintech Farm and decided to join their bootcamp program in 2019 as a newly-founded company. Fintech Farm's expertise and network provided Enable Banking with the resources and support needed to navigate the Open Finance landscape. With Fintech Farm's support, Enable Banking started offering next-generation Open Banking connectivity, including Account Information Services (AIS) in more than 25 countries across Europe and Payment Initiation Services (PIS) in Northern Europe.

The Results

After partnering with Fintech Farm, Enable Banking rapidly became the Finnish market leader in account data aggregation. The company now operates in 4 countries with a team of 15 employees and has connected with over 2700 banks. The partnership has successfully supported the Nordic fintech ecosystem, unlocking the full potential of Open Banking in the region and beyond.
